This was actually a rumor last week after an image appeared of a purported featurette for the Blu-ray, but now it's official https://dailydead.com/stephen-kings-maximum-overdrive-is-coming-to-blu-ray-from-vestron-video/. Anybody watching Hulu's "Castle Rock"? It's a decent show, set in the Stephen King universe. Is there a name for his universe? The King-iverse?

I've always liked how this movie is family-friendly, but it still has some horror elements to it. You've got the wicked witch, setting the standards for all witch cliches for years to come, and then you have flying monkeys and tornados, and a bunch of mini-perverts.

I was just thinking, I wonder if this book was discussed by John Carpenter and friends, around the time they did Halloween 3? At that point, they were thinking of taking the franchise in the direction of a series of films loosely based on Halloween and/or Samhain, and what it has meant over the years to different cultures. I've been trying to remember the name of a movie I watched a few years ago. I would love to rewatch it, but I've forgotten the title. I thought it was The Changeling (1980) now I don't think it is.

I have been trying to watch movies all morning, but I keep zoning out. Not sure if I start daydreaming or get so involved with my work that I lose track of what the hell is going on. I must have hit the rewind button 50 or more times now.

I remember when I was a kid being scared to death of going up the stairs at night. I always felt like someone was watching me. That feeling would intensify to the point I’d start running up the the stairs to my room and do a flying leap into the bed. Not only were the stairs a problem , I couldn’t risk something grabbing me from under the bed too! I still get creeped out a bit over the stair thing.

I missed it in theaters, but I watched it last night. Funny movie. On a first viewing, I'd hold it right up there with the first one. Now, rather than reviewing it, I figure I'll just post this clip of one of my favorite scenes:

And oh, what a month, huh? Everybody likes October because we go all out on horror movies. I mean, isn't that what life is all about? Especially here at Trash Epics. When one thinks of the term "cult classic", the first film to pop into their head is usually something from the 70's or 80's. Maybe early 90's. At least I assume such.
