Loosely based on a true story set in 1993, the book was written in 1998, and the movie came out in 2001. As most of you know, Larry Clark movies often feature delinquent youths as the main characters, and these ones are the worst, and I mean that in a narratively sound manner. The acting in this movie is wonderful, and so is the cast. There are a lot of recognizable names, and it's all about the performances.

John Wick Chapter 3 was cool as hell. It picks up right after the second film's daunting ending, where it's also revealed that Part 2 takes place within a week of part 1. So in that week, John Wick has killed sooooo many people, and he barely has any time to catch a breath because everyone is still out to get him.

I know a lot of y'all aren't too crazy about disney, but personally, I think they did an amazing job with the live action Aladdin. I know it isn't the same without Robin Williams as the iconic genie, but Will Smith did an incredible job. He didn't try to be Robin Williams. He embodied the genie in a way that made the movie an incredible experience, while still paying respect to the original.

As much as I want to hate on modern cinematic drivel, I still make an exception for Marvel movies. Marvel was part of my youth, so I feel obligated to my younger self to stick with it, and sometimes... it stinks. Sometimes... it's incredible.

I saw this, for the seventeen bajillionth time, last night at a midnight showing. I guess there really is something special about seeing it on a big screen, because I had an idea that I don't know if I've ever had before, despite having seen the movie, as I said, seventeen bajillion times already.

Damn good movie. Based on a true story of a 90 year old flower guy who gets in deep with the cartel after running drugs for them. He uses his money to help out his family and friends, but things escalate, as they always do.

Clint Eastwood is so old, but he's still got it. He even manages to score with a few young ladies. "I'm a high-end gigolo", he says.

Everybody likes that wookie, right? Even if you're not a big fan of Star Wars, you'll still appreciate a giant hairy beast that hangs out with Harrison Ford, and Chewbacca was a great sidekick. One of the best.

Peter was a tall fucker, though. It lead to health problems with his back and knees, so he couldn't be as adventurous as his days in the sci-fi 70s and 80s, but he was always good to his fans. He was supposed to do a big convention soon, and that's got to be awful for everyone.

Twilight was all the rage back in the late 2000s... among pre-pubescent girls. Quite frankly, it's a stupid movie. Everyone knows they sparkle, but why? They look really stupid when they run super fast. Why are vampires playing baseball? The world may never know.

Taintlight is a far superior knockoff. It's made by Chris Seaver, so you know it's at least entertaining. Stella and Edgar are queefloads better than Bella and Edward. Plus, the movie is on youtube:

I spend a lot of time half watching shows and movies with out hardly looking at the screen. So, I'm just intersted in what people would considered the 1 movie they would take with them to a desert island, if they were blinded before having to make the choice.

Watched this one again today for some quasi-King points. I've always liked the movie, and I love that it has the same vibe/setting/director as the first. What I noticed this time is how often it references the original.

I was just thinking about the first Omen movie, from 1976. It is excellent in soooo many different ways, of course: music, cast, abrupt beheadings (always an important consideration), and, perhaps mportantly... settings.
