A priest opens his congregation to wayward souls, including drug addicts, transgender, a woman who performed a self abortion, and a lipstick lesbian.
But a new priest is assigned, and he doesn't look favorably upon this collection, so he summons the spirit of an evil nun to cleanse the church.
Had the occasional flash of competence, but overall not very good. And clocking in at close to two hours? Should have been 80-90 minutes. But I'm assuming they loved their film, and felt everything was imp

I watched this movie once... Ok, fine. I watched this movie a bunch of times way back when, and it was great! Seriously, this movie was hardcore! It had drugs and blood and boobs and fucking all over the place. This movie was "anti this" and "anti that", and there was a bunch of pissed off homos and super edgy references to the end of the world. Oh, and people wanted to kill themselves and stuff. Some actually did! Then there was this alien... Y... Continue »

When it comes to found footage, I like to scoff at how ineffective these movies are. They often strike me as cheap and unprofessional output from people who think they can make a great horror movie simply because they own a camcorder. There are a few passable ones out there, but dare I eat my own words when I say that this movie gave me chills.

I guess every found footage movie tries to pretend it's a true story with some documentary wrap-around, and this one is no different in that sense. It f... Continue »

Finally, a sequel to a Christmas movie that actually has something to do with Christmas! Of course, it still has nothing to do with the story that started it all, but after the last few, it's a breath of fresh air. As the title suggests, this one is about... killer toys!

A boy is gifted an early Christmas present that he's not supposed to open till Christmas, but he's stupid and tries anyway. Before he can rip all the paper off, his irritable dad sends him to bed, checks it for himself, and you... Continue »

If you thought the last movie was bad, wait until you get a load of this movie. It has almost NOTHING to do with Christmas except a few vague scenes that can easily be removed with no consequence to the overall "plot". What gives?

Our story follows a reporter who follows the story of a woman who "spontaneously combusts" and falls off a roof. Okay? Then she's stalked by Clint Howard's ugly ass, then she meets a few o... Continue »

You may think you know. I thought I knew, but I was mistaken. I didn't really know. But I do, now. For the first time in my life, I know what bottom of the barrel cinema truly looks like. And now, you get to know because I'm going to tell you. I have to because I really need to talk about this one. For years, I've been under the impression that maybe a Blood Lake or a Splatter Farm might be it. Those aren't it. Oh, I've found IT, alright! It's... Continue »

Sure, we got a https://trashepics.com/post/88/186/ Found Footage Challenge going right now, but I love the Christmas challenge. It's pretty easy too because there aren't genre requirements. Any Christmas movie or show counts, scored by runtime. I'll probably add a few other gimmicky ways to get points.

This is NOT the progress thread. I'll post that later. This is a memo thread. The challenge will run from Sunday the 12th to Saturday the 25th, making for a 2 week challeng... Continue »

Part 2 gets all the hate, but at least it's entertaining. This movie sucks, and it's really boring too. The only copy you can get is full screen, which means it's bordering on the 90s era where nobody cared about the movie enough to preserve it right and give it a proper release.

We start out in a white hospital room where Richard Beymer is using our blindbland female protagonist's psychic powers to jump start comatose Ricky's brain. Yeah, we're jumping the shark a bit with th... Continue »

Yes kids, it's time for another quiz. See how well you know the Psycho franchise with this 30 question trivia quiz. This covers the movies, the failed tv pilot in the 80s, and the recent tv series.

Remember, you are allowed 3 attempts to get your best score, and the higher your score is, the more pointless trash money you'll receive, so don't settle on a shitty attempt.

For the twelfth year, I present my survey of new turkeylands explored during November. Most years, I've found the first movie watched is an omen of things to come. If we're fortunate enough to watch a good one, especially if it's unexpectedly good, it's going to be a fun challenge. If we start with something awful, well, hard to get the sand out of the vaseline. This year, we started with 4/20 Massacre, a movie about a bunch of college girls who go out to the woods to talk about feminism and que... Continue »

Hey TE boarders

I have been wondering if there was an interest in a challenge considering the found footage style of filming. If I mention The Blair Witch Project, I guess everyone knows what I'm talking about. The movies are often shot in POV with handcam, sometimes really shaky and dark, and have usually also a documentary/mockumentary feeling. Originally this definition comes from filmed material of people lost that disappeared or ended up death, the footage being the last evidence of their... Continue »

After a bit of a wait, the show finally premiered on Syfy, and what do you know, it's actually off to a strong start! I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up with the new episodes as they air, but I'm gonna try, damn it!

Our setup is pretty simple. A bullied middle school kid finds a Good Guy doll at a yard sale, and you can figure out where it goes from there. Of course, you've got Brad Dourif back where he belongs because Don Mancini is at the helm of this whole shindig, so he's doing it right.... Continue »

1) Use IMDb ratings.

1.0 = 6 points.
1.1-1.9 = 5 points.
2.0-2.9 = 4 points.
3.0-3.9 = 3 points.
4.0-4.4 = 2 points
4.5-4.9 = 1 point.

3) Can be any genre.

4) Trifectas. Director actors, and series. For director and actors you can bunch siblings and parent / children or grandparent / grandchildren.

5) A movie can only count towards one trifecta.

Single Trifecta - 5 points
Double Trifecta - 7 points
Triple Trifecta - 9 points
Etc.

This was the first Todd Sheets movie I've seen, and it wasn't completely deplorable as one might expect. I still wouldn't say I liked it though, but this isn't a review. This is more of a compliment/complaint about the gore.

Yeah, the movie has a lot of gore, and it looks somewhat realistic and gross. The slicing through flesh is great, but the blood is inconsistent. Sometimes, it looks like normal dark blood, but other times it looks like goddamn ketchup.

But that isn't the real complaint. My... Continue »

So I had this thread on the IMDb Horror Board for like 2 years before it got deleted. Basically it is just a list filled with recs for action or crime exploitation films. Got a lot of recommendations and watched a bunch as I went through a phase but got away from it. Figure I might get to watching them again. Lots of people gave recs so some of you might remember. Anywho, if anyone wants to recommend some more that would be great or you can just use this list for recs as well.

For a Billy Ray Cyrus movie with a 2.4 rating, I would have expected something a lot worse. I think people jump at the chance to give it a bad rating simply because it has Mr. Achy-Breaky Heart in it, but he does a decent job as the drifter Navy Seal vet who's being used by the government to stop an arms dealer in a podunk town.

When I was searching for this movie on Tubi, they only had the Rifftrax version, and I'll be damned if I let those fuckers talk throughout the whole movie trying to con... Continue »

Not the biggest score for turkey points, but these movies sure are a lot of fun. A 90s beefcake with long hair and his bland partner have to take down some Yakuza, with the big bad being Robert Z'Dar. Obviously, nobody in this movie knows Kung Fu nor do they act the part of a samurai, but it works as a crappy buddy cop movie, complete with gratuitious sex scenes and violent cops who never follow the rules. Full of cliches, including the angry captain and random-ass scenes of bad guys trying to a... Continue »
