...because food rules and eating food rules.

Off the top of my noggin here's a little quiz for all you trash-types:

1. What's your favorite dinner food?

2. What's your favorite junk food?

3. What did you eat for breakfast today?

4. How often per week do you cook dinner from scratch? (or cook at home anyway, even if not from scratch)

5. What's your least favorite food?

6. What food have never tried that you would like to?

7. What food have you never tried that you are pre... Continue »

I've always wondered how could anyone not eat meat? Sure, killing animals is cruel, but they shouldn't taste so good, am I right?

I read an article on Halloween Love that was pretty interesting: http://halloweenlove.com/meat-is-murder-the-texas-chain-saw-massacre-exposed-horrors-of-the-meat-industry/

Thoughts? Are you a vegetarian?

I pre-ordered Fox With a Velvet Tail and Kill Baby Kill.

And finally got around to watching The Intruder last night. Thought it was pretty good. Not very bloody but at least it held my interest. It reminded me of several other movies, including Dementia 13, Five Dolls for an August Moon and Castle of Evil.

Onyx and I had this great idea. Remember Care Bears? Well, we're working on these new teddy bears that we're going to start selling, called Trashed Teddies. The drugged-out bears, in need of a place to unwind. So far, we have Bud Bear, Shroom Bear and Snow Bear, with more to come.

I was rewatching Return of the Living Dead, (which has got to be one of the best if not the best zombie movie of all time) and got to thinking what are the worst ways to die? We all remember Trash and her opinion on the matter.

I think one of the worst ways to die would be the case of a man by the name of Hiroshi Ouchi. The irony of his last name is too perfect. Hiroshi was 35 years o... Continue »

I think this is interesting. Kim Richards is on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which I think most people would agree is the ultimate Trash Epic. (I'm proud to say I've never even seen it, but I see enough references to it all over the $%^&*%$#@!ing internet that I feel that I can speak with great authority about this topic). Anyway, when she was six or seven years old, in 1971, she was on a show called Nanny and the Professor, and Elsa Lanchester co-starred with her on a few episodes. Els... Continue »

I have no idea if this is actually true, of course, but if you Google around you can find the same info I found. This old woman was the grandmother of two early filmmakers who were born in the 1870's and 1880's, Yanaki and Milton Manaki. They lived in the Ottoman Empire, in an area that is Macedonia today. Here, this is their grandmother weaving. Even if she wasn't born in 1791, she couldn't have been born later than the early 19th century.

image Yeah, a random-ass question, but I want to see if we have any animal-lovers on this site. I have a cat whom I call by a billion different names, such as Kentucky Johnson, Johnny Cakes, Johnson Cat, Jiminy Cakes, Johan Cokes, and all sorts of stupid variations of that. Then I have a dog named Dexter (named after the show), aka Doctor Dexter, M.D. Continue »

I've seen a lot of gross out comedies, but Wetlands is something all its own. Wetlands is a German comedy, drama directed by David Wnendt, and damn is it weird!

The plot is as follows an unhygienic woman named Helen who has strange views on sex and hygiene wants her divorced parents to reunite. This is only the beginning of Helen's issues because Helen has also been hospitalized due to cutting a hemorrhoid when she attempted to shave her as... Continue »

About a year ago, I started writing a book. A dirty soap, as I call it, chronicling the misadventures of the local delinquent cheerleaders in a crappy hick town, and the lame male protagonist that longs for them. Last month, I finished it. It's a whopping less-than 200 page male fantasy about disco, drugs, and delusional deadbeats. If that doesn't reel you in, GTFO. Continue »

...in the Season 3 episode of the Love Boat who gets involved with Steve Kanaly's character in the last ten minutes or so? No women will date him because he wants them to sign a paper before they date. This lady doesn't mind because she wants him to sign the same kind of agreement. She's not credited, and I wondered if she ever appeared in anything else. She's one of the best looking blondes I've ever seen.

Anyone enjoy this obscure movie based on Yokai Monsters of Japanese folklore?

It has two follow up movies (100 monsters) and another one. There is also a more recent but unrelated Yokai War movie.

Any thoughts on the new season?

Sep '17
What are your thoughts on this upcoming sequel?

Personally, I hate the Saw movies. They're kinda shit, if you ask me. Convoluted shit, in which our antagonist has way too many contingencies in order, to the point where it gets preposterous, and fast. After the third movie, Jigsaw DIES, yet he had so much going for him that he had 4 more movies planned. FIVE, if you count this new movie. Continue »

I'm watching "11.22.63", starring James Franco as a time-traveler who has to prevent the assassination of JFK. It's pretty interesting so far. It's mostly a 60s period piece, but it's top notch, exploiting some civil rights stuff at the time, but still being an interesting thriller.

Gotta love that Stephen King is still relevant. Theaters here have not only Dark Tower, but now "IT", which has had surprisingly high hype. I haven't even seen the trailer for IT, but it's sold out at my theater,... Continue »

If you happen to have a copy of The Dead Zone, or if your local library has a copy, you might find this interesting.

I was just re-reading The Dead Zone this weekend, and in Chapter 21, Section 3 (each chapter is subdivided into numbered sections), there are a few paragraphs that make me think of the movie Dreamscape. They are on page 317, in my edition. They describe Johnny Smith's visions of the world after Greg Stillson is elected, which is a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The book is a... Continue »

I missed last week so this one is for the past two weeks.

I got Eye in the Labyrinth and The Intruder from Diabolik DVD the other day. I haven't gotten to watch The Intruder yet but looking forward to it. I've already seen Eye in the Labyrinth on YouTube several years ago and liked it, so as soon as I found out there was a Blu ray I ordered it. Watched it last night and it looks good, though there are no extras on it. From my experience Code Red never does much in terms of special feature... Continue »

A woman destined for freedom manages to escape Hell. When she arrives from the sewers of Earth, she is used to punish Sinners. But the last thing she expected to find was love.

I seen this last night, and I was surprised by just how solid it was. The special effects are superb, the acting is great, and the story is surprisingly good, for what is a low-budget film.

Anyone seen it? What did you think?

Whether they be mindfuck movies, or movies that just stuck with you, so you thought about them over and over again...

Lately, with the sci-fi challenge, I delved into Predestination (2014) and it's a very unique movie. I thought about it enough that I wanted to rewatch it again today, and I am. I guess Fight Club was also a mindfuck. I remember when I first saw that one, I made it halfway through, and then I had to leave for a family gathering at Chili's restaurant. Then, my dad... Here's a relevant theme for the sci-fi challenge. I had to say "space alien" so you know I'm not talking about the xenomorph movies. They really monopolized that word, huh? emoticon
