Yeah, that's right... Jigsaw! The 8th movie in the series to feature a killer who's been dead since part 3. If you don't know that much by now, just leave the thread, cuz it only gets more ridiculous.

What did you think of it?

I liked it and it has that weird vibe that sci-fi of its time had.

I was thinking about Cult of Chucky, and what a good job they did with it. There's a review floating around, somewhere out there in the ether of the internet, which rhetorically asks how it is possible for the seventh film in any horror series to be THAT good. I mean, jeez, it's a lot better than it had to be, right?!?

I really have to see this. It breaks my heart knowing she was so depressed and was treated so unfairly. It's very sad that she passed away during the filming of this. I hope it's respectful to her.

the protaganists are faced with a hospital staff who (of course) don't believe this crazy horror premise is occuring, and they result to violence with seemingly no hesitation. it's hysterical to me.

Italian director Umberto Lenzi has died. I just found it on IMDb, but never heard of it. Looks really interesting and fun! It has only 300 votes with 4.1/10 rating, but the movie poster looks cool though.

I thought it was a very worthy follow up to the first season and even better in certain respects. They did a great job of further developing the characters from the first season (El especially) as well as introducing some memorable new characters. The movie isn't terrible, but it's definitely not perfect. My main issues are the same ones I had with my first viewing of it.

The intro scene is entirely unnecessary. I wish more horror movies wouldn't jump at the chance of showing you right away that they're a horror movie by starting off with a bang. The original didn't do that, but this one shows you right away that there are blood-thirsty demons possessing people, burning away in obvious CGI.

Just finished my October Challenge with my final FTV, Offspring (2009).

Holy hell, is this guy a twisted writer. So far, I've seen The Girl Next Door, which was a totally depressing misogynistic tale of a 1950s family with a dark secret, and the guilt of never speaking out about it. I'm half-watching Child's Play on AMC. Chris Sarandon always seemed like an odd choice to cast as the cop (detective) in that movie. He does a good job, I'm not saying he fails in the role. But, it just seems strange to me, to hear him talk like a cop, and have cop mannerisms, etc. I guess he made too much of an impression on me in Fright Night, and in The Sentinel.

Does anyone come to mind for anyone here, as someone who played a cop but just didn't seem like one, for whatever reason?

Imagine googling something, in hopes of getting an explanation. Do you prefer a video response, or a textual response? Is society so against reading that they'd rather watch someone explain something, regardless of how graceful said person is? Or does society prefer cultured, well worded thoughts on the matter?
