Has anyone on here watched V-Wars on Netflix? I just finished the first season, and I actually thought it was really good. I loved the story, and loved how it was a different take on Vampires. Now I knew going into this that I was going to be biased because 1.) I used be, and still am I guess, obsessed with Vampires. And 2.) I love the actor who portrays the main character. Anyway, I don't want to give too much away, in case you all decide to watch it. But I hope there is a season 2, because I... Continue »

I wanted to see this in theaters, but I had no window for it. I was never too keen on the casting of Joaquin Phoenix from the start, but I found it promising when they announced that Robert De Niro would be in it and that Scorsese would be producing. Apparently, Scorsese was more of a consultant as he isn't listed in the credits, but damn if he isn't an inspiration. This film was heavily inspired by Taxi Driver, so it makes sense.

This movie will make you wonder about its continuity a lot, but... Continue »

Hey guys! I thought maybe an animation draft would be fun. We would be doing animation characters. I thought it would just be fun this month. The horror draft was fun, and I thought maybe we could have a couple fun ones throughout the year. Comment if you want to sign up and we can go from there.

All forms of animated characters would count.

Hey Trash Epians. Just wanted to update you all on the challenge for next month. We are going to be doing something a bit different next month. Instead of a movie challenge, we will be having a TV challenge. Basically, watch as much tv as you want. Watch a full series or two. There will be a different point system as we want to test something out. Rules to follow later this month, but it will be fun. And who doesn't love a chance to just binge some shows lol!

Died 4 years ago today. It's still hard to believe it, but his bizarre entity transcends life and death. In a way, I refuse to accept that he's "dead" because he'll never be dead as long as I keep hearing his music.

I think his last single "Lazarus" is pretty great, and the context of it makes it haunting. Bowie knew he was done for when he made that song and it's sad as fuck. I feel like a lot of that album was like that.

Alright guys. Here is the next round! Some Pixar movies are going against Pixar, because most Disney movies were eliminated.

2.) Monsters Inc vs. Finding Nemo.

3.) Ratatouille vs. Up

4.) The Incredibles vs. Aladdin(1992)

Well no I'm not asking whose movies you prefer but I just thought it was cool as title. As a big HG Lewis fanboy I can understand that people see Kaufman and the Troma movies as a follow-up. HGL created the gore and splatter movie while others such as Kaufman continued when HGL left the movie business for a period of about 30 years.
There is indeed a lot of similarities between HGL and Troma flicks:

* low budget
* independent cinema
* no top cast, mostly amateurs
* acting is average at best

Hey y'all! So for this month, I thought we could do something probably silly, but could be fun.

So, I put together another voting game. All the movies are animation to coincide with this months challenge, and for this one we are doing Disney vs. Pixar. I know it's Disney's Pixar now, but still they were two different companies, and their movies are vastly different.

So the premise of this voting game is to bring out your inner child. You are still going to vote for the movie you like the bes... Continue »

Well, here we are. The 2020s. We finally get to find out if Kyle Reese served in the 132nd under Steve, Joe, or Katy Perry. I'm thinking Katy. Yeah, I know, one of the sequels had him serving under "Justin" Perry, but that was probably just in some kind of parallel universe caused by a time travel goof. I still say it will be Katy.

Speaking of time travel goofs, I was thinking about ideas for future Terminator movies. (Maybe some of these have already been done in some of the recent seque... Continue »

Hey guys, I hope everyone in the U.S. had an amazing Thanksgiving! But now, December is upon us, and that means it's time for the 80s challenge. So let's all have fun watching as many 80s movies as we can!

The challenge starts at midnight, and ends at the stroke of midnight on New Years day.

Well I included Der and Basic which was the simplest solution. There is going to be a final with 3 people.

I used a randomizer and it turned out this result:

BasicBallzBoxDerBambiGymnoZnepsfpxmarkusTommixSnowyJohan
So this gives

Battle 1: Basic vs Ballz
Battle 2: Box vs Der
Battle 3: Bambi vs Gymno
Battle 4: Znep vs sfpx
Battle 5: markus vs Tommix
Battle 6: Snowy vs Johan

When your own battle is on you can't vote even not for your opponent.

I never put down
the toilet seat to take a dump.

Most restrooms don't have those paper thingys to put on top of the seat, and I'd be embarrassed to use one.

The bottom line is that I refuse to sit where another man's ass has been sitting. I'd rather take a chance of sitting on piss.

I can always wipe piss off, I can't wipe off the feeling of having sat on another man's ass.
True story, ladies and gentlemen.

And he was not fazed or disturbed by any of it, and that includes the John Hurt chest burster scene which he found fascinating. It got me to thinking what I should show him next. Jaws was his first horror movie but he bawled at the end of that because he wanted the shark to live. So anything which involves the death of an animal is probably a no-no (that discounts The Thing then).. He's also seen Gremlins. I guess Predator, The Terminator and T2 would be good ones. Maybe Poltergeist for his firs... Continue »

I haven't updated this list in a couple of years, and I have seen a lot since then. I felt it was a nice time to do this A few people do ask about my taste, so here it is, it has a mixture of old and new, foreign language, classics and obscure stuff.
