I could've guessed your first pick lol. Scream was ok but I didn't care for The Batman. While I like Pattinson, I didn't like his Batman and thought he was a terrible Bruce Wayne. The villains were bad and the only character I liked in the film was the city of Gotham.

There seems to be a lot of nitpicking on The Batman, and I can sort of understand some of it. I think the atmosphere is the best of any Batman film. I might pop it in the ol' blu-ray player again.

It's in a lot of critics top 10 of the year...for what it's worth it's probably the best superhero/comic book film of the year.

His Batman was great, I don't understand how anyone could think otherwise. But yeah his Bruce Wayne, not so much...

All horror, no surprises here. Still need to see your last 3 picks.

I think I may have found my #1 favorite FTV of the year just hours ago. Smile. Similar to It Follows. Little bit of a The Ring vibe too. I almost never consider a movie scary, but I thought this was pretty damn scary.

For the other four, Terrifier 2 immediately comes to mind. Orphan: First Kill and Barbarian was also great. And I think Clerks III narrowly makes it.

Honorable Mention: Ronnie James Dio Documentary I saw recently, Dio: Dreamers Never Die.

I really liked the opening to Smile and the ending was good, I just found the hour or so in-between to be eh but still, it was a lot better than plenty this year. I met Ronnie James Dio in 99, my buddy had backstage passes. I can't recall if he opened or it was a split bill with Iron Maiden.

Yeah for some reason Smile creeped me out a bit as well, I guess I dont like ppl grinning inanely

None of these I rated higher than 8/10. Beavis and Butt-Head wouldn't be on here if I hadn't wanted 10 movies. Not a bad movie, but I thought the new season was much better in comparison.

I have heard a peep or 2 about Crimes of the Future...thx for the extended list.

It's a decent return to body horror for Cronenberg.
