Mid to late 80s are when I really became a horror/gore fan. I remember going to the mom and pops video rental stores before even Blockbuster and coming home with a gleam in my eye holding those titles.

Yeah like I replied to Ballz, those are some of my favorite horror films to this day...Day of the Dead is my favorite of Romero's trilogy, call me crazy.

I saw Jason Takes Manhattan, Shocker and NOES Dream Child at the cinemas that year...kinda wish had saw your 3 instead.

I was born in a year with many great franchise villains. 88 had a Freddy, Jason, Michael, Chucky, Pinhead, Tall Man, Maniac Cop, Angela, Pumpkinhead... too bad Leatherface wasn't around! The 80s sure were great.

Not sure if it's 80 or 81 but both years were great years for horror with plenty of classics. Never seen the top 2 but I'll have to seek em out now.

That's '80. Not a huge fan of the year, tbh. Pretty uneventful, overall, at least compared to the years before and after.

Burnt Offerings is a great haunted house type of movie. Great cast, great ending. Recommended.
