Troma figured the last thread ran it's course so I've been nominated to start a new one. So to get started here's a song titled with Troma's favourite director:
First Pentagram album, sometimes called Relentless, is the best. So dark and out of step with what was in vogue for metal in the mid 80s. Took Pentagram over a decade for various reasons to finally release their debut LP. Crazy. A lot of people also really dig First Daze Here, which compiles all their 70s stuff together. It's decent, but kinda overrated tho. As I said, a lot of people really love it and call it their best, so it might be up your alley too. It does have one of their classic songs, "Living in a Ram's Head," which was actually released as a single in the '70, surprisingly. The singer from Pentagram is the same guy singing on Bedemon's 70s stuff, in case you aren't aware. His wife is like 50 years younger than him too, which blows my mind.
If you're up to exploring early doom further, you need Saint Vitus in your life.
